About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Fire Safety Technician to join our team at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety. As a Fire Safety Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our customers and the community by providing top-notch fire safety services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and Maintain Fire Extinguishers: Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers to ensure they are properly installed, maintained, and functioning correctly.
  • Test and Repair Fire Extinguishers: Test and repair fire extinguishers as needed to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform Fire Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough fire safety inspections of commercial and residential buildings to identify potential fire hazards and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Document Inspection Results: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, including any issues or concerns identified.
  • Communicate with Customers: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers regarding inspection results, repairs, and other fire safety-related matters.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Knowledge of NFPA Standards: Knowledge of NFPA standards is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Fire Extinguishers: Experience with fire extinguishers is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this role.
  • Reliable Transportation: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for this role.
