Our direct support professionals are responsible for supervision of consumers to ensure their safety and well being for our Women and Children's residential recovery center in Columbia, MO. In order to thrive in this role you must be comfortable working closely with people who have an addiction disorder and have a desire to provide excellent client care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC::

  • Provide group education.
  • Transport consumers as necessary.
  • Log new medications and store appropriately on unit.
  • Observe self-administration of medicine on unit.
  • Assist with orientation of new consumers.
  • Complete paper and electronic documentation within required time frames
  • Supervise/monitor consumers
  • Collect and process UD's
  • Ensure safety of consumers by appropriately responding to crisis situations as they occur
  • Assist client(s) with transportation as clinically indicated. Driving is an essential function of the position

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED preferred, at least eighteen (18) years of age, a valid drivers license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a Class E MO driver's license by the end of the 60 day introductory period. Good verbal and written communication skills required.

On-site training provided.
