Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Respiratory Therapy team. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating and treating patients with respiratory conditions, administering prescribed therapies, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients for appropriate respiratory care and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation, as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Educate patients and families about respiratory health, disease management, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of respiratory care policies and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience and education.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or equivalent certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
