Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in respiratory therapy principles and practices, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their respiratory care requirements.
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians, and provide education to patients and families on respiratory care and disease management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months OR active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the NBRC if credential received prior to January 1, 2019.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and practices, including pulmonary diagnostics and ventilator management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
