Responsibilities- Assist in the assessment of children and develop age-appropriate activities to promote their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of a curriculum that meets the criteria of the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAEYC).
- Ensure a safe, clean, healthy, and organized physical environment for children, adhering to Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with parents, children, and coworkers, and maintain accurate records of children's progress and attendance.
- Provide guidance and discipline techniques that promote positive behavior and respect for children's individual needs.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of a minimum of 12 hours of early childhood education from an accredited college.
- 1-2 years of childcare experience with children in a licensed child care facility.
- Current Child Care First Aid certification within 7 days of hire.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card - State of Arizona.
- Food Service - Food Handlers Card.
- Valid driver's license.
