Job Title: Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Waterfall Community Health Center. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to women of all ages, focusing on reproductive and gynecological health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive health assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for women's health issues, including reproductive and gynecological conditions.
  • Perform routine gynecological exams, including pap smears, breast exams, and screening for sexually transmitted infections.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses, including controlled substances.
  • Develop and implement patient education plans to promote healthy behaviors and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians, other healthcare professionals, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in staff and organizational meetings to contribute to care coordination and policy development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing, with a Master's degree in nursing and completion of a state-acceptable Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Minimum of one year's experience in women's health nursing, with national certification in a specialty preferred.
  • Licensed by the State of Oregon as a Registered Nurse and certified by the State of Oregon as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Prescriptive privileges and ability to be credentialed with Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance.
