As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing service calls, troubleshooting and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. You will install and service the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum downtime and maximum performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and Service Fire Sprinkler Systems: Install and service fire sprinkler systems to a wide range of clients with various applications of fire protection systems.
  • Perform Service Repairs: Perform all tasks listed on service repairs, deficiency, and installation work orders.
  • Respond to Client's Service Related Issues: Respond to client's service related issues effectively and promptly.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain a good working relationship with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ's).
  • Interpret Drawings: Interpret shop and contract drawings regarding scope of work.
  • Communicate with Clients: Communicate the needs required for the scope of work to be completed on schedule.
  • Train Clients: Train and instruct the client on proper use of all equipment installed.
  • Apply NFPA Codes: Understand and apply NFPA 13, 14, 20, 24, and 25.
  • Utilize Time Management Skills: Utilize time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Answer After Hour Service Calls: Answer after hour service calls when scheduled.
  • Inform Management: Inform management of any job related issues or concerns.
  • Assist Staff: Assist staff with design, layout, field surveys, and client meetings as needed to secure a bid.
  • Provide Information: Provide Service Sales Representatives (SSR) with information regarding sales leads, change order opportunities, and Fire Sprinkler sales.
  • Comply with Policies: Comply with all DynaFire policies and procedures.
  • Acquire and Maintain Equipment: Acquire and maintain required equipment on the tool list.
  • Follow Safety Procedures: Follow DynaFire's safety procedures in addition to the client's safety program.
  • Safely Operate Equipment: Safely operate construction equipment including, but not limited to, step ladders, extension ladders, scissor lifts, hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, powder actuated tools.
  • Participate in Training: Participate in training classes to grow professionally and increase one's knowledge of the industry.
  • Learn and Apply Core Values: Learn and apply DynaFire mission statement and Core Values.

Training and Certification Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License: Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 3 Years Experience: Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in fire sprinkler service
  • FASA Certification: FASA certification
  • NICET Level I: NICET Level I or the equivalent in water based systems within 24 months from date of hire
  • Proficient in Office Hardware and Software: Proficient in office hardware and software tools used by DynaFire
  • Fluent in Fire Protection Terminology: Fluent in back-flow, wet system, dry system, fire pump, fire pump controller, and alarm device terminology as well as troubleshooting procedures
