About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our AWS team. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies that drive revenue growth and customer adoption of AWS services.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to identify and pursue new business opportunities. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key customers and partners, and for developing and delivering presentations and proposals to support business development efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that drive revenue growth and customer adoption of AWS services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and proposals to support business development efforts.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AWS services and their applications in various industries.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions.
  • 5+ years of technology domain experience in cloud computing fundamentals and architectures, performance optimization and orchestration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Product, BD, or Sales Executive capacity.
  • Familiarity with opensource software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Established track record of building rapport with Startup executives and closing strategic deals.
  • Strong databased storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers.
  • Recognized industry expertise in primary discipline(s) with proven public speaking prowess.
  • Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
  • An Advanced degree highly preferred, especially an MBA or MS in CS or Engineering.
