About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team at Amazon Web Services, Inc. - A97. As a key member of our Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Startup team, you will be responsible for driving growth and adoption of AWS' technologies among Startups in the western US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive revenue and adoption of AWS' Analytics solutions among Startups.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Startup executives and developers to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems and drive business growth.
  • Work with Marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand for AWS' Analytics solutions.
  • Own the Startup GTM strategy and execution for Analytics in the western US, collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience
  • 5+ years of technology domain experience in data modeling and warehousing, data lakes, data integration and ETL process, and big data technologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Product, BD, or Sales Executive capacity.
  • Established track record of building rapport with Startup executives and closing strategic deals.
  • Familiarity with open-source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers.
  • Recognized industry expertise in primary discipline(s) with proven public speaking prowess.
  • Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
  • An Advanced degree highly preferred, especially an MBA or MS in CS or Engineering.
