Nurse Care Manager

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality care management to individuals with developmental disabilities, adhering to OPWDD regulations. This role involves supervising staff in delegated nursing tasks, such as medication administration, medical care, and participation in team meetings.
Responsibilities:- Direct supervision of staff providing medical support to individuals within the residential program.
- Ensure effective medical care with proper documentation.
- Implement, monitor, and supervise staff regarding trainings, delegated nursing tasks, and AMAP staff.
- 24-hour telephone triage with a 30-minute response time as per OPWDD regulations.
- Attend meetings as required, including clinical meetings, nursing meetings, ISP meetings, and residential staff meetings.
- Maintain HIPAA regulations.
- RN, preferably with a BSN, and at least 1 year of work experience.
- Current NYS nursing license and BLS.
- OPWDD experience and knowledge.
- Ability to utilize nursing assessment skills in an autonomous environment.
- Critical thinking skills necessary to monitor and analyze medical records, reports, triaging calls, and supervision of staff as needed.
Provides care in the homes of individuals with developmental disabilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:Full-time, 35 hours/week, 5 days.
Salary:$88,000 annually.
Travel (if required):Multiple sites.
