Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.
  • Expertly reads and interprets Government Contracts and Modifications, applying knowledge of indirect burdens and incurred costs.
  • Oversees assigned accounting functions, collaborating with lower-level accountants and clerical staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in a directly related field, such as accounting or finance.
  • Associate degree with at least four years of professional-level accounting experience is acceptable in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of four years of directly related experience, with extensive knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented, with proficiency in Costpoint and Cognos.
  • Government Contracting knowledge and experience is preferred, as well as familiarity with FAR and JTR.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
