About Our Hospital

Duke University Hospital is the largest of our three hospitals, featuring 1048 patient beds, 65 operating rooms, comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including a regional emergency/trauma center, an endo-surgery center, and more.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Equipment Manager to partner with program leadership to manage all aspects of mechanical circulatory support equipment. This includes acquisition, distribution, tracking, and maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide input on guidelines and policies related to equipment management
  • Maintain inventory and tracking of equipment
  • Collaborate with purchasing departments, vendors, patients, and multidisciplinary care teams
Patient Support:
  • Disseminate equipment to patients in hospital and clinic settings
  • Provide technical support for equipment
  • Obtain donated equipment
Hospital Inventory Management:
  • Sustain adequate stock levels of equipment
  • Maintain backup and emergency equipment
  • Collaborate with clinical engineering and DHTS on deployment and maintenance of equipment
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Two years of administrative experience in increasing variety and complexity
  • Ability to independently lift up to 35 lbs frequently

This role offers a competitive salary range of $63,000 - $93,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
