Interventional Radiology Nurse

Job SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Radiology Director, Medical Director, and the RN Radiology Coordinator, the Radiology RN assists with patient care in diagnostic, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Mammography, and Interventional procedures. This includes performing nursing patient assessment, maintaining accurate documentation of patient data, and demonstrating knowledge of patient physiologic monitors. The Radiology RN will also instruct and aid in the training of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine students in clinical nursing practices.
Responsibilities- Assist with patient care in diagnostic, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Mammography, and Interventional procedures
- Perform nursing patient assessment and maintain accurate documentation of patient data
- Demonstrate knowledge of patient physiologic monitors and perform emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed
- Instruct and aid in the training of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine students in clinical nursing practices
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- Current BLS required
- Knowledgeable in handling controlled medications in Radiology according to hospital protocol
- Minimum of 1 year work experience in critical care unit including experience in monitoring patient's Vital signs including cardiac rhythms
