Job Overview

The Senior Financial Accountant will deliver daily financial, analytical, and administrative assistance, collaborating with various departments and management levels. The ideal candidate must exhibit meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to precision, perform effectively while juggling multiple priorities, work autonomously as well as collaboratively, and possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities alongside excellent communication skills. This position will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gather data and prepare Management Reports, including key performance indicators and variance analysis, utilizing advanced Excel techniques extensively.
  • Manage Accounts Payable processes, including 1099 reporting.
  • Supervise Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Handle collections efficiently.
  • Process Semi-Monthly Multi-State Payroll, ensuring accurate management of payroll deductions and withholdings; perform complex commission and bonus calculations; conduct thorough reviews of employee expense claims for compliance with company/client policies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
  • Reconcile General Ledger accounts accurately.
  • Correctly code and document financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register diligently.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of general accounting experience is required.
  • Experience in payroll processing is essential.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required (online version preferred).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities are necessary.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies (e.g., Pivot Tables, Vlookups).
