Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to established medical protocols.
- Perform essential administrative tasks in compliance with regulatory standards such as CLIA, HIPAA, and NCQA.
- Engage in patient interactions, documenting vital signs, medical history, and care provided in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Coordinate patient appointments and verify insurance eligibility as necessary.
- Maintain treatment rooms, ensuring they are prepared for patient examinations and that medical supplies are adequately stocked.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient safety and care quality.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or outpatient environment.
- Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited organization.
- Proficient in medical terminology and skilled in using medical equipment and instruments.
