Medical Assistant

PRIME Occupational Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As an Onsite Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch medical care to our clients and patients in a variety of settings. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional patient care and support in an on-site setting, including taking medical histories, performing preliminary physical tests, and administering injections under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in injury care, including providing first aid and basic life support as needed.
• Perform phlebotomy services, including drawing blood samples and preparing them for laboratory analysis.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
• Improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and staying up-to-date with the latest medical developments and best practices.
Requirements:
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift up to 100 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required.
Working Conditions:
This position will be based out of PRIME's Baytown, Texas Clinic location and will require travel to various locations throughout Texas and Louisiana to provide on-site clinical services. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal. The worker is also required to have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages, and other items, walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.
