Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our team at Owensboro Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide clinical expertise and care related to nutritional support in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Educational Programs: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs for patients concerning nutrition.
  • Provide General Health Management: Offer general health management for nutrition patients and groups, distributing education literature to patients as needed.
  • Community Programming and Education: Responsible for community programming and education, promoting healthy eating habits and nutrition awareness.
  • Weight Management Programs: Oversee the weight management program for adults and coordinate and facilitate children's weight management program.
  • Presentation and Education: Conduct presentations to groups of all sizes regarding nutrition education and cooking classes, providing education and training for patients and healthcare providers.
  • Research and Outcomes Studies: Participate in and generate research and outcomes studies relating to specialized nutritional support, representing Owensboro Health as a nutrition expert.
  • Media and Community Outreach: Write articles for local newspapers, speak to groups, and regularly speak with media on topics related to nutrition and health.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Service Management, Nutrition, or a related field required upon hire. A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Licensure: Dietitian - Licensed Dietitian in the state of Kentucky required within 120 days of employment in this position. BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position.
