We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgery Technician to join our team at Encore Vet Group in Chattanooga, TN. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Anesthetic Monitoring: Monitor patients' anesthesia levels and make precise adjustments to ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Capture critical diagnostic images, including CT and MRI scans, to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Medication Administration: Deliver medications with precision, whether through oral tablets, intravenous lines, subcutaneous injections, or intramuscular shots.
  • Surgical Nursing: Provide essential support during pre and post-op procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical experience.
  • Laboratory Sample Handling and Testing: Manage laboratory samples, ensuring they are properly collected, labeled, and processed.
  • Surgical Assistance: Provide hands-on support during surgical procedures, handling instruments and positioning patients as needed.
  • Medical Records: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting every aspect of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary setting, with a preference for anesthesia, surgery, or specialty practice.
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary anesthetic drugs and their effects, backed by specialized training and expertise.
  • Skilled in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medical math, drug calculations, and other technical skills.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, especially in critical moments.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks.
