Position Overview:

At Nightwing, we are committed to innovation and excellence in the procurement domain. As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our supply chain operations, driving efficiency and fostering strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and distribution of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Conduct thorough price and cost analysis to support procurement proposals.
  • Formulate negotiation strategies and oversee formal negotiations regarding pricing, delivery timelines, scope, and contractual terms.
  • Manage the placement of subcontracts and purchase orders of varying complexity, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Engage in unique procurement processes, including Other Transaction Authority (OTA) and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA).
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with primary subcontractors.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet organizational objectives.
  • Implement strategies aimed at cost reduction and performance enhancement to ensure seamless supplier execution.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • A University degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 8 years in supply chain management or a related field, or an advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in project planning and management tools.
  • Experience in development-type procurement and managing major subcontracts.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
  • Understanding of technical requirements related to procured goods and services.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing various contractual agreements.
  • Ability to assess proposal compliance.
  • Experience mentoring junior procurement professionals.
