Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team at Field Talent. As a key member of our electrical contracting team, you will be responsible for installing new electrical systems and repairing existing ones while ensuring compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems, supporting safety, operations, and productivity initiatives.
  • Use industry-related hand tools and power tools to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems, and other wire raceway systems.
  • Feed to, pull into, and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switchgear, receptacles, switches, etc.
  • Splice and terminate wires at junction points, ensuring seamless connections.
  • Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and control circuits, and build control panels from drawings.
  • Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems.
  • Delegate tasks and assist with training other employees, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain workflow schedules to ensure all productivity objectives are met, driving business success.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, prioritizing a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Wireman license (preferred).
  • Ability to install power systems, including lighting, fire protection, security, and data network.
  • Experience building and installing control panels and providing maintenance to systems.
  • Experience using Electrical Single Line blueprints.
  • Ability to find and repair faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
  • Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installations.
  • Experience helping with project management and crew supervision.
  • Ability to manage material estimates.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and pre-planning abilities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Lift 50 lbs from the ground and pull 50 lbs of force.
  • Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling, and conduit pulling.
  • Fully squat, stoop, or kneel while wearing a 25 lb tool belt.
  • Maintain a standing position for long periods, performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
  • Work off ladders, man lifts, or reach booms.
  • Working Environment: Exposed to various weather conditions, including cold, snow, rain, heat, etc., and high noise levels.
