We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Analyst to join our High Yield Corporate Credit Group at New York Life Investments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing credit research, investment analysis, and portfolio surveillance for specific industry sectors in the high yield and leveraged loans credit markets.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Credit Research: Conduct in-depth analysis of credit markets, industries, and companies to identify investment opportunities and potential risks.
- Investment Analysis: Evaluate investment opportunities, assess creditworthiness, and provide recommendations to the high yield credit committee.
- Portfolio Surveillance: Monitor existing portfolio holdings for performance and provide timely recommendations for portfolio positioning.
- Present Investment Recommendations: Present investment ideas to the high yield credit committee for approval.
- Work with Portfolio Managers: Collaborate with portfolio managers to execute purchase and sale transactions.
- Develop Relationships: Develop and enhance relationships with broker-dealers, analysts, and rating agencies.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare portfolio review reports for management.
- Experience: 6-10 years of relevant industry experience with a strong background in credit research and a thorough understanding of leveraged finance.
- Education: BA required; MBA or CFA is a plus.
- Skills: Well-developed quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong team player with the ability to manage and prioritize numerous tasks.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Competitive Salary: $165,000-$200,000.
- Discretionary Bonus: Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
