Job Summary

The Investment Analyst Program at GCM Grosvenor is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the alternative investment industry. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in all aspects of secondary private equity investments, including due diligence, transaction execution, and investment monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and conduct due diligence on secondary investment opportunities across private equity strategies.
  • Develop and refine discounted cash flow and LBO valuation models.
  • Prepare investment memorandums and present recommendations and due diligence findings to internal committees and clients.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to review deal terms and negotiate and execute investment transactions.
  • Utilize Capital IQ, Preqin, Burgiss, and DealCloud to inform due diligence, research, and transaction advisory processes.
  • Support fundraising efforts for private equity separate account mandates and commingled funds.
  • Contribute to business intelligence projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Pursuing or having recently completed a BA/BS with a concentration in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Applicable coursework or previous internship in investments or financial markets.
  • Experience with spreadsheets and financial databases is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of the investment industry, particularly alternative investments.
  • Excellent work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to teamwork and goal-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and concisely to clients and staff.
  • Superior organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage tasks and projects independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and work flow.
  • Strong attention to detail and concern for quality and accuracy of final product.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively with other departments.
