Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Location: Center City Philadelphia

Hybrid 3 days in / 2 days remote

We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our team at The Jonus Group in Center City Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, with a strong understanding of medical, vision, dental, life, and ancillary lines, as well as short-term and long-term disability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for client-facing work, mentoring and leading a team, rating, working with Excel spreadsheets, preparing proposals, and visiting carrier sites. A high degree of customer service is essential, and knowledge of various insurance carriers and experience at the local agency level is required.

Salary will be commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will be able to handle complex information, maintain composure on a busy desk, and possess a current Life & Health license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client-facing work, including mentoring and leading a team
  • Rating, working with Excel spreadsheets, and preparing proposals
  • Visiting carrier sites and maintaining relationships with insurance carriers
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits
  • Strong understanding of medical, vision, dental, life, and ancillary lines, as well as short-term and long-term disability
  • Current Life & Health license
  • Knowledge of various insurance carriers and experience at the local agency level
