Job Title: Lead Ultrasound Technologist

At the Detroit Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for leading and guiding our ultrasound technologists in providing exceptional patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Job Summary:

The Lead Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and guidance to ultrasound technologists in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures
  • Ensuring high-quality patient care and imaging services
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures for ultrasound imaging
  • Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care
  • Monitoring and maintaining equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S)
  • Abdomen and OB Registry required
  • Two or more years of progressively more responsible ultrasound technologist work experience
  • Excellent analytical and clinical skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
