Job Title: Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed radiologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiological exams using various imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound. You will also be responsible for verifying patient identity, reviewing medical records, and explaining procedures to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic radiological exams using various imaging modalities
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records
  • Explain procedures to patients and obtain informed consent
  • Position patients for optimal imaging and ensure proper positioning of imaging equipment
  • Operate imaging equipment and ensure proper functioning
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies
  • Provide patient education and instructions on post-exam care
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
  • Strong analytical and clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, and lifting
