Job Overview
Omitron, Inc. is seeking an experienced Aerospace Software Engineer with a focus on space safety systems.

This mid-level software engineering position involves creating and modifying next-generation satellite spaceflight safety systems using Java programming. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior developers, engineers, and scientists to design and code software that protects satellites from various hazards in space.

The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of Java and object-oriented programming principles, as well as basic knowledge of database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling. Experience with cloud services platforms, Agile development methodologies, and scalable system design is also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software solutions for satellite spaceflight safety systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate space-related risks.
  • Develop and maintain software applications to provide data to cloud services platforms.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to satellite orbits and hazards.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of Java programming and object-oriented design principles.
  • Basic knowledge of database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling.
  • Experience with cloud services platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Agile development methodologies and experience with Scrum or Kanban.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and Subversion.

Benefits and Salary:
