Aerospace Systems Engineering Specialist

Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) has gained broad acceptance as a preferred approach to space systems engineering. To meet growing demand, our MBSE Department aims to provide innovative MBSE solutions through research, development, and analysis.

This position requires 100% onsite work. The ideal candidate will implement creative MBSE approaches for new and existing space, ground, and launch systems, advising internal and external customers on effective use of MBSE methodologies, modeling languages, and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evaluate architecture and engineering models across various modeling languages such as SysML, UAFML, BPMN, and others.
  • Infuse MBSE practices into internal R&D programs and advise customers on implementing MBSE in their programs.
  • Advise customers on selection and implementation of MBSE methods, languages, and tools.
  • Train Aerospace ETG, program office, and government customers on MBSE adoption, integration, and execution practices.
  • Develop and share knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices through papers and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or related technical field.
  • Proficient with one or more MBSE modeling languages, methodologies, and tools.
  • 6 years' experience in space systems engineering, including modeling methods and analysis.
  • Knowledge of core space system segments at enterprise, SoS, system, and subsystem levels.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex concepts to customers and fellow employees.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
