Sales Representative, Therapeutic Area Expert

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Specialty Representative, Metabolics to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for executing brand strategy and tactics in the field, effectively managing assigned territory and targeted accounts, building strong customer relationships, and driving sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Sales Performance: Meet or exceed sales targets, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to maximize short- and long-term sales performance.
- Develop Pre-call Plans: Utilize SMART objectives to create effective pre-call plans and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.
- Build Customer Relationships: Proactively serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
- Optimize Call Planning: Develop and execute call plans that achieve set call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Share Market Intelligence: Continuously build understanding of customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical, and sales expertise and share this information with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate Value Proposition: Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers assigned and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications:
- Certification Requirements: Any governmental and/or legal mandatory certification requirements as by respective country's laws and/or regulations (if applicable)
- Education: Bachelor's degree, biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent
- Sales Experience: Proven track record of success in selling and exceptional presentation skills
- Scientific Knowledge: Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities
- Adaptability: Proactively identifies customer style / behavior and adapts quickly all aspects of selling approach
- Leadership: Leads by example; consistently displays positive behaviors and peer coaching through changing and challenging environments
Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience
