Job Summary:

Lutheran Hospital is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Radiology/Imaging Unit team on a PRN basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine scans using gamma cameras and advanced computer processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures, adhering to NRC radiation safety guidelines.
  • Obtain accurate patient histories and check orders for additional information that may affect test results.
  • Maintain CEU's for licensing purposes and acquire high-quality scans.
  • Practice safe radiation procedures, wearing appropriate safety equipment and badges.
  • Take initiative to perform additional duties during slower times and foster a team environment.
  • Exhibit computer systems knowledge and proficiency, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six months to one year of experience in nuclear medicine services.
  • ARRT Registered Technologist, Radiologic Technologist license in the State of Indiana, and Nuclear Medicine certification.
  • Board Eligibility or current registry with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • CPR certification within 7 days of employment.
