Radiology Technologist PRN Position

Join Lutheran Hospital's Radiology/Imaging Unit as a PRN Radiology Technologist and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. As a key member of our team, you will perform radiographic procedures, process images, and collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiographic procedures as ordered by physicians and process images for use in patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Verify accuracy of procedure on x-ray requisition with physician-written order and make necessary revisions.
  • Identify patients according to hospital policy and obtain procedure-related patient history from patients, physicians, and/or patient charts.
  • Communicate with patients, family, and visitors in a positive, professional, and helpful manner.
  • Clearly explain radiographic procedure processes to patients and provide follow-up information on receiving results of findings.
  • Maintain constant observation of patient condition during procedures and demonstrate safety and caring toward patients.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a radiological diagnostic education from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure with registration (or eligible for completion within a year of employment) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Indiana State Board of Health General Certificate for Radiographers.
  • CPR certification within six months of employment.
