Job Title: Junior IT Systems Administrator

Friedman Vartolo LLP is a dynamic and innovative law firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will provide technical support to our employees, ensuring seamless operation of our computer systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to employees, both virtually and onsite, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding tasks, including installing software, configuring laptops, creating accounts, and setting up workstations.
  • Maintain and support printers, copiers, and other onsite equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Provide orientation and guidance to new employees on operating computer equipment, ensuring a smooth transition to our IT systems.
  • Manage ticketing system (JIRA) responding to and resolving Tier 1 and 2 tickets, escalating complex issues to senior technicians as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate basic hardware and software issues, utilizing technical expertise to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Engage in employee outreach to gain feedback on employee technology experience, ensuring our IT systems meet the needs of our staff.
  • Document technical procedures and knowledge base articles in Confluence, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for future reference.
  • Manage equipment asset inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and maintenance of laptops, monitors, peripherals, and other IT assets.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Environment (Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 10, 11 Business).
  • Familiarity with basic computer hardware, printers, applications, and help desk software.
  • Some help desk experience (6-12 months preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Power BI.
  • Task automation.
  • Azure (Azure Connect, Azure Cloud, Azure ADD).
  • VDI & Virtual System Management.
