Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement PA Core standards-aligned mathematics lessons, incorporating best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive mathematics lessons, utilizing a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure students meet or exceed academic standards.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and involving them in their child's education.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, staying current with best practices in mathematics education and incorporating new ideas and strategies into the classroom.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
  • Current teaching license in Mathematics (Grades 4-8).
  • Proven experience in teaching mathematics to middle school students.
  • Strong knowledge of PA Core standards and mathematics curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
