Job Title: Middle School Math Teacher

We are seeking a qualified Middle School Math Teacher to join our team at Belmont Charter Network Careers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students.

Job Summary:

The Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for supporting student success by ensuring the school day structure runs efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals.
  • Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student learning and participation.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school administrators.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
  • Execute school-wide duties in accordance with school rules and procedures.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
Requirements:
  • B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1-2 years of classroom experience, preferably in urban education.
  • Valid and active Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate.
  • All employees must be able to provide Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114), and Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168) before starting work on campus.
