Job Title: Middle School Math Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Math Teacher to join our team at Belmont Charter Network Careers. As a Middle School Math Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of our students and helping them achieve their full potential.

Job Summary:

The Middle School Math Teacher will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes student success. You will develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals, assess student progress, and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instructional methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school administrators.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
  • Execute school-wide duties in accordance with school rules and procedures.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1-2 years of classroom experience, preferably in urban education.
  • Valid and active Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate.
  • All employees must be able to provide Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114), and Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168) before starting work on campus.
