We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team at BHS Corrugated & Robotics. As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical control systems for our state-of-the-art corrugated machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement electrical control systems for corrugated machinery, with a focus on Siemens S7 PLC programming and HMI development.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software.
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot Siemens S7 PLC systems to ensure proper machine operation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, software, and production) to integrate control systems with machinery.
  • Conduct testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Ensure all systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality protocols.
  • Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and startup phases of new equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of control system designs, programs, and processes.
  • Train maintenance and operations teams on electrical controls and PLC systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical controls engineering, particularly in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in Siemens S7 PLC programming and HMI development (required).
  • Solid understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and automation technologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD software for electrical schematic and panel design.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to complex electrical systems.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and industry regulations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SCADA systems and remote control/monitoring technologies.
  • Familiarity with servo motors, motion control systems, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Hands-on experience with electrical panel building and wiring.
