Job Overview

The Cincinnati Specialty Underwriters (CSU) Claims department is seeking a Claims Analyst I-III to oversee property and casualty claims and litigation files, assist in product development, and provide underwriting support. This position offers a hybrid work environment, with 50% of the time spent in the office and 50% remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough account reviews and provide guidance on manuscript forms to underwriting personnel.
  • Supervise claims files, offering coverage analysis and strategic direction on property and casualty claims.
  • Manage and control property and casualty litigation files effectively.
  • Engage in product development activities, including legal research and policy language formulation.
  • Assist Field Claims associates in reaching conclusions on claims files.
  • Support the achievement of departmental objectives and initiatives.
  • Communicate emerging claims trends to the CSU Underwriting team.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, policyholders, claimants, and agents.
  • Proficient in identifying and analyzing critical issues, providing solutions for favorable outcomes.
  • Capable of achieving goals with moderate supervision.
  • Skilled in analyzing coverage.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • A law degree is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in claims adjusting or supervision.
  • Experience in multi-line claims adjusting is preferred.
