Job Description

Mental Health Associates play a critical role in providing support and care to psychiatric patients in the Emergency Department at Mount Sinai West. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges according to established policies and procedures
  • Provide one-to-one observation and physical care under supervision
  • Escort ambulatory patients and transport them using wheelchairs or stretchers
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a Nurse's Aide or Patient Care Associate preferred
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English in a clear and concise manner
  • Prior healthcare experience with demonstrated competency in a psychiatric setting preferred
