Job Description

The Quality Control Clerk role is a key position within the Quality Department, responsible for assisting the Quality Control Manager and Quality representatives in various daily office tasks. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with weekly and monthly reporting, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Complete special projects and perform other related duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager.
  • Read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, and system designations to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Validate NDE against approved specifications and accurately enter data into ZPTS.
  • Track and consolidate data into system books, requiring knowledge of the QCF database.
  • Update and maintain internal staff contact lists.
  • Type documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Use various computer programs to receive and track documents and work with different types of printers to create hard copies as requested.
  • Receive written, verbal, and electronic requests for documents.
  • Complete projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous professional work experience in a clerical or administrative position.
  • Able to work varying hours as required to support construction operations.
  • Knowledge of office equipment, including phones, fax machines, and copy machines.
  • Good interpersonal skills and phone etiquette.
  • Dependable, punctual, and excellent attendance.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Good reading comprehension.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with others, including good communication skills with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience in Outlook and email communication.
Physical Requirements:
  • Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
  • Will talk and hear to communicate.
  • Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
  • May be required to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50lbs.
  • Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using appropriate fall protection requirements.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold, and wind, while wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses/spoggles, earplugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather steel-toed work boots.
Work Environment:
  • Will work in all weather conditions, ranging from warm/hot to cool/cold, with occasional rain.
  • Will work at different elevations and may be required to work in close, confined spaces for a long period of time.
  • Noise levels will be moderate to high.
