Job Summary

Connecticut Children's is seeking a highly skilled Neonatologist to provide exceptional care to patients at Level II-Level IV NICUs and newborn nurseries. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based medical care, teaching and mentoring learners, and participating in academic conferences and meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, and make referrals as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, including initial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and telephone calls.
  • Collaborate with nursing and support personnel to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, pediatric residents, and neonatal fellows.
  • Participate in research and scholarly activities, and contribute to the academic growth of the University of Connecticut.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree required.
  • Active CT Physician license and DEA certification required.
  • Board eligibility or certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine preferred.
