Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant at Barnabas Health Medical Group, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and experiences. This dynamic position requires a highly skilled and compassionate individual who can perform routine clinical and clerical tasks with precision and professionalism.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm, with occasional weekend hours. We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, processing prescription refills, and assisting with minor procedures as directed by a physician or health practitioner.
- Support practice needs with clerical tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, preparing lab requests, and other assigned duties.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
Requirements:
- BLS Certification approved by AHA
- Medical Assistant Certification: NHA, NCCT, AMT, AAMA, NCMA, AMCA, AECA, or NAHP
- At least 6 months of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
- Strong written and oral communication skills essential
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Phlebotomy and EKG
