Personal Care Assistant

Cassia is seeking dedicated Full-Time Personal Care Assistants to become part of our esteemed team. We provide comprehensive training for all new hires. We are pleased to offer a bonus of up to $750.
We have Full-Time roles available with a flexible schedule that includes working every other weekend. The shifts will primarily consist of the overnight shift along with one evening shift.
Full-Time Hours: 10:00 pm to 6:00 am; 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Responsibilities of a Personal Care Assistant:
- Assist residents in achieving and maintaining their highest level of independence while providing personal care and support with daily living activities.
- Support treatment plans as directed by the Registered Nurse according to individualized care strategies.
- Monitor and document vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse, and respiration as instructed, and report any changes or concerns to the RN.
- Record services rendered using a computerized charting system.
- Observe residents and communicate any changes in their physical or emotional condition to the supervisor.
- Provide personal care assistance, which may include hair washing, help with bathing, and medication administration.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications for a Personal Care Assistant:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient computer skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Iowa CNA certification, which may lead to additional compensation based on experience.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
