We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Paramedic to join our team of air transportation experts. As a Flight Paramedic, you will play a critical role in safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as scene call work.
Responsibilities:- Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care to patients, maintaining thorough patient care documentation.
- Conduct daily base checks, including narcotic counts, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public to maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
- Function as a medical flight member, attending pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings, and completing necessary documentation.
- Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance, as needed.
- Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff.
- Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
- Fulfill open or vacant shifts within assigned areas, as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an ALS or critical care setting required.
- Flight experience preferred.
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status. Will be required to obtain trauma certification within 6 months of hire.
- Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 12 months from date of hire.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
- NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.
