At KACE, we are committed to executing vital projects that enhance the safety, security, and overall quality of life in our communities. Our Linguists are integral in converting sensitive content from ASL Spanish into English, aiding law enforcement in the collection and analysis of critical information.

Position Overview:

  • Convert intercepted communications in American Sign Language
  • Deliver both verbal and written summaries to the Client
  • Assist in the development of slang terminology and code references
  • Create transcriptions that meet court standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience OR Associate degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma with 7 years of relevant experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in transcription
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
  • Exceptional verbal and written proficiency in the target language
  • Proficient in MS Office applications

Security Clearance:

Candidates may undergo a government background check and security clearance process.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move as required
  • Capability to write, type, and operate a telephone system
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring communications
