Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Coordinator to join our team at Southlake Orthopaedics. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a critical role in scheduling surgical procedures and ensuring that all necessary clinical and insurance information is collected and processed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Surgical Procedures: Utilize our electronic medical record system to schedule surgeries and ensure that all necessary information is collected and documented.
  • Coordinate with Physicians and Staff: Communicate with physicians and clinic staff to schedule procedures and ensure that all necessary information is shared.
  • Manage Scheduling Systems: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scheduled procedures and ensure that all necessary information is entered into our scheduling systems.
  • Verify Insurance and Benefits: Verify patient insurance and benefits to ensure that all necessary information is collected and processed.
  • Coordinate with Pre-Cert Department: Work with the pre-cert department to ensure that all necessary information is collected and processed for surgical procedures.
  • Interface with Vendors: Communicate with vendors to ensure that all necessary equipment is available for office and hospital-based procedures.
  • Ensure Accurate Documentation: Ensure that all necessary diagnoses, CPT, ICD-10, and billing codes are documented for each visit and medical procedure performed.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide accurate and detailed information to patients regarding test preparations, time of schedule arrival, and any other directional information needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Leadership Experience: Two years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Related Experience: One year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients.
