Position Summary:


The HVAC Technician is responsible for executing field operations related to the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial clients.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Conducting on-site preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and calibrations post-installation.

- Addressing basic, non-complex issues while escalating more intricate problems to senior technicians.

- Utilizing technical expertise and experience to assess service needs and determine maintenance requirements.

- Informing management about preventive maintenance inspections conducted and recommending corrective actions.

- Collaborating within a team-oriented environment to share knowledge and responsibilities while ensuring customer satisfaction.


Safety is paramount; technicians must adhere to all safety protocols consistently.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Flexibility to work overtime, be on-call, and work weekends as needed is essential.

Physical Demands:
Technicians are tasked with installing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on commercial rooftop HVAC units, often working independently.

As such, technicians must be capable of:
- Safely accessing rooftops with necessary tools and equipment, typically using fixed or extension ladders

- Working at elevated heights

- Loading and unloading tools and equipment from service vehicles

- Occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs.

- Lifting to shoulder height and overhead up to 25 lbs.

- Pushing or pulling wheeled carts weighing up to 150 lbs.

- Climbing ladders to reach roof heights

- Repetitively extending reach overhead.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent

- 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Commercial HVAC

- EPA Certification - Type I & Type II or Universal required

- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

- Technical skills to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment

- Strong customer service abilities

- Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills

- Capability to complete repairs and necessary documentation

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

- Self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks within deadlines

- Driven to succeed with minimal supervision

- NATE certification is a plus

- Availability for periodic on-call service coverage

- Occasional travel may be required.
