Position Overview:
We are in search of a seasoned Superintendent proficient in the safe handling, transportation, and installation of heavy machinery and equipment utilizing various rigging techniques.
Ideal candidates will possess experience overseeing teams engaged in rigging operations for large-scale General Contracting (GC) industrial and heavy commercial projects.
Preferred qualifications include Union Ironworker, Millwright, or Boilermaker Journeyman status.Candidates must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and possess a solid understanding of mathematical applications, weights, measurements, and balance.
The ability to evaluate loads, generate calculations, and develop lift plans is essential.
Familiarity with current industry standards and regulations governing rigging equipment and practices is required.
Candidates should be adept at positioning and preparing cranes and necessary lifting apparatus.
Compliance with health and safety regulations is a must.
Proficiency with the latest industry technologies is expected.
Experience managing multiple crews is essential.
Candidates should be capable of completing electronic daily reports (including timesheets, work logs, JSAs, PTPs, productivity tracking, budget assessments, QAQC reviews, etc.).
Flexibility in scheduling, willingness to travel, and availability for overtime are necessary.
Proven experience in managing large-scale GC industrial and heavy commercial projects is required.
Strong organizational skills are essential.
A current CPR/AED certification and completion of 30-hour OSHA training are mandatory.
