Director of Professional Graduate Studies

We are seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Director of Professional Graduate Studies and Professor of the Practice at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our online master's program in Digital and Integrated Marketing Communications (DIMC).
About the RoleThe Director will oversee all aspects of the DIMC program, including curriculum innovation, recruitment, and professional engagements. You will work closely with our faculty, staff, and industry partners to develop and implement cutting-edge programs that meet the evolving needs of our students and the marketing industry.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans for the DIMC program, including curriculum innovation and recruitment efforts.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and deliver high-quality online courses and programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners and professionals to ensure the program remains relevant and effective.
- Manage program budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of funds.
- Contribute to the development of the School's strategic plan and initiatives.
- Master's degree in journalism, mass communication, marketing communications, information science, or a related field.
- Rank of position will be determined based on years of qualified professional experience in digital marketing communications, social media strategy, data analytics, emergent media practices, public relations, and/or audience engagements.
- Evidence of strong connections to digital marketing communications or emerging media professionals/professional organizations.
