Job Summary:The University of Kansas is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Director of Professional Graduate Studies and Tenured Associate Professor in the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications. As a key member of the School's leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the online master's program in Digital and Integrated Marketing Communications (DIMC) and driving its continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the DIMC program, including curriculum innovation, recruitment, and professional engagement.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and industry partners to create cutting-edge professional education and upskilling opportunities.
- Teach 3-4 courses per year in undergraduate and/or graduate programs, in-person and/or virtually, based on the needs of the School.
- Contribute to curriculum innovation and development, and hold regular office hours.
- Demonstrate sustained productivity through publications, sponsored projects/grants, papers, and presentations for national and international academic and professional audiences.
- Ph.D in journalism, mass communication, marketing communications, information science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence in a university setting, including the ability to develop and teach online courses.
- Distinguished professional work in digital marketing communications or emerging media.
- Eligible for tenured status at the University of Kansas.
