Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at UNC Health, you will play a critical role in acquiring and analyzing patient diagnostic data using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of CT algorithms, image manipulation, and patient safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification and obtain patient history, ensuring patient understanding and safety.
  • Obtain images per protocols, manipulate images according to protocols, and perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data.
  • Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients, establish intravenous lines, and administer IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of PACS and transmit images to QC, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and PACS, verifying and segmenting images at the QC station.
  • Perform tasks in a timely manner, run the schedule creating a consistent workflow, and volunteer to work on challenging tasks, difficult procedures, and new research.
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligibility.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment and successful registration within one year of employment, with ongoing maintenance of registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
Job Details

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 36 hours per week. The salary range is $40.09 per hour, with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity. The position is exempt from overtime and is located in Eden, NC (Rockingham County).
