Job Summary

The Lemoine Company is seeking a highly skilled BIM/VDC Specialist to support our construction project teams in the field. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for utilizing platforms such as Navisworks to evaluate clash detections and ensuring a solid understanding of best practices for setting up and managing BIM Coordination Reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Collaborate with project teams to develop and complete BIM Execution Plans, ensuring seamless integration of building information modeling and virtual design construction.
  • BIM Modeling: Utilize Revit to model building systems, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Laser Scanning: Execute complex laser scanning projects, including point cloud collection and post-processing, to provide high-quality data for project teams.
  • Model-Based Layout: Assist project teams with model-based layout, ensuring efficient and accurate construction processes.
  • Drone Operations: Conduct drone flights for site documentation and photogrammetry analysis, providing valuable insights for project teams.
  • Quality Control: Conduct a QC analysis of systems virtually coordinated during installation, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • BIM Analytics: Assist project teams with BIM-based analytic tools, such as Power BI, to provide data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
  • Technology Evaluation: Continuously evaluate and learn new technologies, staying up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
  • Training and Development: Participate in and lead training efforts, ensuring team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of an associate's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, construction management, or architecture.
  • Technical Skills: Fundamental knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems for buildings, as well as experience with laser scanning equipment and point cloud data.
  • Professional Certifications: Willingness to earn an FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot's License.
  • Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, construction management, architecture, or other related discipline.
  • Industry Experience: Previous BIM/VDC responsibilities, experience as a mechanical designer focusing on building construction, and proficiency with Autodesk Navisworks, Revit Systems, and AutoCAD.
  • Specialized Skills: Advanced knowledge of Autodesk ReCap, BIM 360, Microsoft Office, and visualization programs, as well as familiarity with Trimble Systems, Dynamo, Synchro 4D, Assemble, Drone Deploy, Power BI, and Adobe Creative Suite.
